Year 10 corset

In year 10, we were given a simple brief to make a corset. My main inspiration was the costumes in the film Moulin Rouge which was risqué and bold yet feminine. In order to make it appealing to a wider audience, I simplified the colour scheme and gave it a classic, elegant twist oppose to their daring costume. It was quite challenging because of the different layers of the lining, the actual corset, the ruffles neckline and the lace sections. Overall, the corset was successful and I was given a grade B.
